Hi,

I am interested in making the Ubuntu Mactel Support packages on Debian
(most of them do already).

I run Debian on a MacbookPro9,1. My problem is with the Hybrid
graphics setup. I have tried adapting and following this guide:
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/vga_switcheroo

I have seen that Canonical developed the apple-gmux kernel driver to
allow switching between the two graphics card. This driver, including
support for vga_switcheroo, has been included in the mainline Linux
kernel in the 3.9 series.

I have therefore compiled and installed Linux 3.9.3. VGA_SWITCHER00
and APLLE_GMUX are both activated (the latter as a module), debugfs is
mounted, but I still cannot see the file
 /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch

At the moment, my laptop runs fine using the Intel integrated graphics
card if I deactivate the nVidia card using outb in GRUB (see
http://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Apple/MacBookPro/9-2 ). If I
don't deactivate the nVidia card, X works using the FBDEV driver.

So, two questions:
 - Has anyone succeeded in activating the nVidia card of a
MacBookPro9,1 under Ubuntu?
 - Has anyone a clue what I could try next?
