yes. you're right. i'll think about it.

yes. since 2.6.28 the DMI device table works. adding entries to /etc/modules is
only necessary for intrepid. and of course to add nvidia_bl which isn't yet
upstream.

the hid-dkms shouldn't be necessary in jaunty anymore. the upstream version
now contains a driver hid_apple that also contains all proposed patches.
almost works on my machine. except for the keyboard brightness keys: the little
indicator window appears but it doesn't adjust brightness. using the sysfs files
works. hal seems to be correctly set up. strange...
while talking about new packages for jaunty: does anybody know how to upload packages
for 2 releases using the same source tree? or do i have to fork the source to
only change the control file?
