Re: hfs-bless and macfanctld - new packages if you're interested

(Sorry for the delay, I've been on holiday.)

I have no objection to the packages (with my packaging) getting into the
official Debian/Ubuntu repos, but I'd rather not be the one doing the
lobbying. I tried a similar thing a few years ago and found it fruitless
and stressful, which is why I turned to using PPAs for distributing
software as I needed to (with apologies to Debian-actual users, who just
have to miss out). But if it happened, I'd happily notify people of changes
I make and accept changes from them as needed so the official packages
don't diverge.

So maybe the best solution is: I'll put the packages in my PPA, and support
them as needed. If the mactel support PPA is just somewhere to point people
for support, you can point them to my PPA too if you're satisfied with the
quality of what's in there. I asked because I didn't want to confuse users
and thus undermine your own efforts, but I don't think it will.

Cheers,
Jason
