[Bug 1181970] Re: Make availability page specific in collections

Hello Gordon,

We are going to look into allowing to share an individual page from a
collection without having to share the entire collection and in planning
is also allowing pages to belong to more than one collection.

Cheers
Kristina

Title:
Make availability page specific in collections

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Functionality enhancement.
When using collections, access to invididual pages cannot be restricted - you either display the entire collection or nothing.
If access to individual pages could be specified it would make this more flexible.

  Use Case
Institutional templates where pages are to be released to users across the academic year - but users shouldn't see some pages before other work is completed (eg weekly tasks that build on previous work). It makes sense to have the pages as a collection, but that means that they all need to have the same access settings. If access could be set (eg by date) on a per page basis then users wouldn't be able to use that page until the specified date.

As a workaround the collection can be presented as a set of individual
pages with different dates - but this means they're not grouped
together in a convenient way to locate and manage them.

  Regards, Gordon.
