Hello Stéphane,

This is usually the case when you have set your notifications to be
delivered via email. Can you please change your settings so that
notifications arrive in your inbox only and aren't sent via mail and
check again?

  Account/activity stays at zero

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  New

Bug description:
  Even though I receive a new message  or there is an activity that
  should trigger a notification, the indicator at the top right corner
  of the interface (account/activity) always stays at zero.

  Version 1.6.2 on Linux Centos 6 with Mysql, this problem is not
  related to browser since it's the same situation with Safari, IE, FF
  and Chrome.
