[Bug 1236771] Re: Repositioning blocks to empty rows

I would imagine this is probably a Javascript issue, so it shouldn't
matter whether you're using Postgres or MySQL. The only important
factors would be:

 - Which specific browser you're using

 - Which operating system you're using

 - Your window size

I haven't been able to exactly replicate this, but I have noticed that
the sensitive areas for drag-and-drop (the yellow bit that shows where
you're going to be dropping it) are sometimes quite far from the gray
areas that are meant to represent where you're supposed to be able to
drag the mouse to.

I've attached a screenshot where I'm trying to drag an Image block into
the third row, and I've got my mouse pointer solidly over the third row,
but the drag-and-drop is still highlighting the fourth row.

** Summary changed:

- Repositioning blocks to empty rows
+ Block drag-and-drop zones don't line up with gray zone indicators

Title:
Block drag-and-drop zones don't line up with gray zone indicators

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  New

Bug description:
I just tested the Mahara 1.8rc1, on a linux server with a MySQL DB. To
view the site I am using a Mac OS Laptop with Chrome Version
  30.0.1599.69.

  I created a page with a flexible page layout of 4 rows and every row with 3 columns (33 - 33 - 33).
When I add blocks to the lower rows and leave the upper rows empty I sometimes can't reposition the blocks.

Example: I leave the upper 2 rows empty, then try to reposition one
block of the third row to the second. The areas where I can put blocks
are highlighted in gray, with the place I hover over being highlighted
in yellow. Most of the time the yellow highlighting is displayed in
the first or third row and I can't put a block in the second row. This
happens with some layouts but not all.

  Regards,
  Angela
