This can be accomplished using the "Tagged journal entries" block: If
you give all the blog posts that you want to display together the same
tag, you can display them together. In Mahara 15.04 you will be able to
select from multiple tags.

Bug description:
  Allowing people to select one or more blog posts in the blog post
  block on a view would greatly increase the functionality without too
  much effort.

  The name of the block could be changed from BLOG POST to BLOG POSTS

  This would allow people to expose different views of their blog to
  different people.
