[Bug 1434316] [NEW] Why two pieform directories?

Public bug reported:

Currently the basic pieform elements information lives in:

htdocs/lib/pieforms/pieform/

but there are also pieform elements that live in
htdocs/lib/forms/

Why do we need to have them in two places?

I can imagine that there might have been a reason to keep the pieform
plugin separate from custom pieform elements but seen as mahara pieform
is really a fork of the original this seperation is not needed within
mahara.

** Affects: mahara
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
