The files are stored in my personal files (my mahara account).  The
owner is me.  If I open them from files it works fine, if I open it from
the gallery on my page it shows "The requested content cannot be loaded"

Nothing visible in the apache error log nor web console.  Using most
recent pull from the "master" branch.

  Thumbnail will not open in lightbox from gallery

Bug description:
  In Mahara 18.10.0

  Create a gallery on a portfolio page. Images display in thumbnail form, however when I click on the image the page says: 
  "The requested photo cannot be loaded. Please try again later."

  Consistent on multiple pages.

  No error showing in Apache2 error log nor web console.
