Slave has finished applying the 'backlog' of all transactions and isrunning fine for now.Should I stop, for the time until the patch you mentioned is released,doing an optimize of the tables on the master server?

I changed to "slave-parallel-mode = conservative" from "optimistic" and now it is applying all the updates since friday.

     yes, Exec_Master_Log_Pos: 967647646 stays always the same.
     I attaced a file with the data you requested. Seems there is a process stuck with "Waiting for table metadata lock ".
