[Bug 226137] [NEW] ME-TV needs, in general, to handle error conditions more gracefully...

Public bug reported:

ME-TV throws up it's hands in despair at some things that one wouldn't
have expected it to.

For example:

For some reason, the ATSC station ID info is coming across garbled on my HVR-1200 card. Reception of the video and audio are great- when you can get the
channels.conf into a form that the app can deal with and load up. The info may/may not be filled enough to be human readable- and may/may not have all the
available stations (Which I know exist and are properly read, etc. based off of my HD set in another room being fed off the same antenna...) but there's "missing"
info and you choke and die when you should probably simply drop it on the floor instead. You also choke and die when it's not textual (i.e. A-Z, etc...) information
in the station ID and die with the same failure.

ME-TV, for it to be honestly usable needs to more gracefully handle failure conditions like this and only boggle like described when it has NO usable station
info whatsoever- and not boggle on things that you just didn't expect in the stream.

** Affects: me-tv
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
