[Bug 267034] Re: me-tv segmentation fault

Michael - Never have done backtrace before. Does it have to be done
right after the segmentation fault? Can you advise how to generate the
backtrace? I have the dbg isntalled, but not sure what to do after
segmentation fault occurs.

Also, are the Me-TV transponders for No. America supposed to be generic?
For example, I see some for Sn Francisco, but not for L.A.?? Could there
be transponders for my area that are not in Me-TV? How can I check
online for a list of transponders in my area? My cable provider Time
Warner employs idiots for customer support who are not willing to help
me. As I said the PCI DVICO card that I have picks up correctly all
encrypted/nonencrypted/analog channels when it runs under Win XP - of
course DVICO has software for that under WIndows, but not under Linux.

The only one signal that Me-tV was able to lock on is something new for
me. Before, I was never able to lock to anything. So, I changed to the
latest Me-TV version. Still, please help me find a solution for this
issue. Canonical does not care. DVICO does not care.

No over the air signal (antenna), only cable connection to PCI card.
Thank you so much for your help.

Status in Me TV, it's TV for me computer: Incomplete

Bug description:
Me-tv does not give me option to scan again for channels. There is nothing in the config. file. Have hardy x64. 'xine-dvb//' says there is no dvb plugin for xine - not sure how important this is. My totem works with xine OK. Have PCI card: DVICO Fusion HDTV RT 5 Gold, which works OK under WIndows XP, but I still cannot make it work (find channels to play) under Hardy x64. Please help. Here is as much as I can copy of dmesg. What follows after that is re me-tv segmentation fault.
