Hi Roelof,

The ~beta release is the current bzr build (i.e. build 455) I'm
attempting to try to get some testing done  prior to each "stable"
release in an attempt to reduce the number of bug reports! So from the
download area you will now notice the there is both the source tar.gz as
well as a pre-built .deb package as well.

You mention that you are still on hardy, I'd be interested to know if
this current beta & .deb will install correctly (and work!) as there is
some significant changes in versions of core components. I tried some
time back to attempt to back-port the current build to hardy and it
FAILED! so I gave up.

I'm keen to here you reply...

Hi Roelof,

Yes, I managed to get a debugger on it and can see that the freeze is
occurring while the EPG is being drawn.  I can only assume that it is
deadlocking with the save thread.  Still on it.

With the Beta versions, maybe Scott Evans can answer, he's now in
control of the release/testing process.

Look like that if I disable the EPG menus, no freezing occurs...
Same if I minimize me-tv (e.g. no EPG output)...

I will examine this further. But the last two days testing (end of
afternoon/ start of evenings only), I observed no freezing (started
me-tv with "me-tv --disable-epg -v"

Did observe lots of lines like below, but I gues this is normal
(probably EPG info in the past)
"24/05/09 21:32:28: Ignoring EPG event 115 (Knooppunt Utrecht), too old"

PS.
What is with the .14 beta something? Just a namechange? Can I compile
it als usual, or should I wait for a normal test-version? Remember I
stil use it on hardy...
