[Question #151496]: Why don't you add "ffmpeg-mt" and "mplayer" latest SVN to Medibuntu?

New question #151496 on Medibuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/medibuntu/+question/151496

Hello,

Why don't you add the package "ffmpeg-mt" and "mplayer" latest SVN to Medibuntu repositories if FFMPEG-MT is considered by MPLAYER official website STABLE?

Also, what's the difference between FFDSHOW (used in WINDOWS OS) and FFMPEG (used in LINUX OS) libraries? I've seen that FFDSHOW version that is installed in K-LITE MEGA CODEC PACK (STABLE RELEASE) is using a codec called FFMPEG-MT to decode H264 videos using more than 1 core for this... So, if they consider it as STABLE too, why don't you update these packages?

Is there any possibility that a new update of the packages mentioned create some new bugs that didn't exist before (is this the why you don't update the packages?)?

Thanks for your help and sorry for the tons of questions :) ,

André M.
