Howdy,
The team has done a lot of good work, yet I do find myself saying
this. Not always, but some of the changes have been significant ones
that have caused a fair amount of work to deal with. I don't resist
changes, just because they are changes. I resist them, if they make
the experience with Ubuntu worse that it was. Most of the Ayatana
changes don't do this, and I have not really figured out where to
bring up the more significant issues. I spoke with some Canonical
developers at the Lucid UDS and they understood my problem. I have
had difficulty contacting them since then. The users I setup systems
for are typically very inexperienced and I don't believe they are
typical of Ubuntu users as a whole. Is it appropriate to bring up
issues on this list or is Launchpad the only place? It is not really
a bug, but it is a scary behavior.
I won't be at the Maverick UDS for financial reasons, but I do hope
you have a successful conference.
Good day,
Ralph
