i suggested a small host of mouse modes, as in gimp or any other
creative suite..
Mouse modes would mean, edit modes.
Nautilus is oben before you, in "select" mode, primary click selects.
The mouse would also indicate that somehow, and objects would have an
icon for "open" instead of the checkbox overlayed with them.
