I think it was in Ubuntu Tweak, I remember doing it using the stable version on natty. You could also make the menus wobbly. On 28/10/11 14:05, frederik.nnaji@xxxxxxxxx wrote:-------- Original Message --------

When the panel is set to transparent, the menus do lookout of place. But if these are transparent, then they would be hard to read if an application is open. You can set them to translucent through Ubuntu Tweak, and it doesn't look right.
how ? i couldn't find that feature in Ubuntu Tweak. The degree of transparency should be identical to the one in the Dash or in the Unity Launcher Quicklists. If this degree of transparency doesn't look right on indicator menus, then it is surely also poor design for the Dash and the Launcher Quicklists.
and for reference, here's a launchpad bug on this topic:
thoughts?
The quicklists are ok when the list is long, and therefore the background is darker on part of the list. Otherwise, it is unclear when you try to read it over a lighter background.
