a homogenous surface called Unity, preferrably transparency-enabled, so the Dash.
The Dash partly solves this readability problem by using larger text
whenever possible. Menus can't.
I think the Dash and the Unity Launcher are handsome, because they form a see-through overlay interface above live content, kinda like a sheet of blurry glass.
It's a quite comprehensible metaphor, only that the top-right-corner part of this metaphor is broken, i can't see through it.
