You can however mitigate it by changing the font size or using another
font - some fonts work fine on all sizes, like Ubuntu Mono.

  Ubuntu 12 with Qt 4.8: certain fonts overlap at smaller sizes

Status in Mudlet the MUD client:
  New

Bug description:
  Regression from 4.7 - using 4.8.1, certain fonts are overlapping.

  Deja Vu Sans Mono on font size 11 is OK, but on font size 10 and
  below, there are some overlapping issues.

  Ubuntu Mono renders OK with font size 10 and 11.
