Is the fix you mentioned available via apt-get or would i have to
download it manually?

Also, Version 0.42 still requires "nvidia-common"

Status in “mythbuntu-common” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed

Bug description:
Binary package hint: mythbuntu-common

The package mythbuntu-common is available in the ppc port archive but requires nvidia-common which is is not available on powerpc. Using Ubuntu 9.04 PPC with kernel 2.6.28-6-powerpc64-smp on a PS3.
