[Bug 521498] [NEW] The shut-down screen in 9.10 is not very intuitive, & too small
Public bug reported:
I upgraded to Mythbuntu 9.10 one week ago. I like most of the changes.
However:
After clicking on Applications -> Shut-down/Log-out, the user is
transferred to the sign-on screen, which has a small "power" button in
the bottom right-hand corner. Clicking on this brings up a small panel
with 3 choices, one of which is Shut-down.
The first time that my wife needed to shut-down the PC, she could not
work out what to do. When I showed her, she had difficulty seeing the
"buttons" (on a 40 inch screen). She asked, why was this changed from
9.04, where there was no ambiguity, with the shut-down choices clearly
displayed in the middle of the screen?
I think that it is a good idea to have a shut-down choice on the log-on
screen, but couldn't we also have the old style of shut-down?
Regards, Garry.
