Thank you for your bug report. Could you please define the following.
*) "plain old properly configured LAN." How is your LAN configured? What
are you using for a DNS server?
*) "self-destruct" What isn't working? I seriously doubt that your mythbox
is causing an explosion.

Bug description:
Mythbuntu 10.04
This bug has been around for so long that it's probably a feature. If so, consider this a wishlist item.
I wish that domain name resolution was working properly and did not self-destruct on a standalone mythbuntu sitting in plain old properly configured LAN.
