[Bug 623039] [NEW] mythfrontend crashes on starting playback of some DVB recordings

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mythtv-frontend

1) Ubuntu release
Ubuntu 10.04 (x86_64)

2) mythtv-frontend release
0.23.0+fixes24158-0ubuntu2

3) What you expected to happen
After selecting a recent DVB recording, I expected to watch it.

4) What happened instead
mythfrontend dies with a segmentation fault. This has been fairly common after upgrading to 10.04 - I don't recall a single crash with 9.10.

This particular crash log is from a DVB recording which plays back ok
when viewed with mythfrontend on a Mac, but crashes on two Ubuntu 10.04
machines (both x86_64). Both computers have NVidia graphics, though the
backend computer uses nvidia-173 and this log comes from a computer with
nvidia-current.

mythfrontend is using ffmpeg & XVideo output at least on the computer
this log comes from.
