Sorry, I was thinking udisks when I said devkit disks.  I'll plan to
work out a patch at some point for that proper support for udisks.  It
can be conditional, use udisks if available, fall back to this old
functionality otherwise.  That's what we do with the shutdown support
patches that were submitted previously and use dbus.

Bug description:
To detect insertion & removal of media such as usb key disks and memory sticks, mythfrontend listens on the FIFO /tmp/myth-tv.  However, package installation doesn't add the required udev scripts, /etc/udev/rules.d/mythtv.rules & /etc/udev/scripts/mythtv_udev_monitor.sh.  See:
