Title:
intrepid won't boot after base files update
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Invalid
Bug description:
HI,
I previously have installed and ran 7.10, 8.04, 8.10 beta find on my
pc fine.
I installed 8.10 Intrepid and it booted up fine after installation.
I then updated the one only available update "Base Files".
It came up with an error 404 ip not found....and yes I do have a
network connection etc...
I thought it must be my sources so I changed it to several Australian
mirrors.
Thinking that had done the trick I went to update again but the update
wasn't there anymore.
I thought I'd ignore it and went to run the add/remove app and it kept
asking me to reload the source repos.
Everytime I did that it would close with no warning/message.
I thought maybe I had to restart the PC after the failed update.
After I restarted the PC it now freezes at about 85% on the loading
status bar and never starts mythbuntu.
I don't mind reinstalling it but don't want this to happen again if I
install the same update.
Thanks,
Slither.
