Title:
AMD 64 bit 9.10 Beta install problems

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  Expired

Bug description:
Last night I downloaded the AMD 64 bit .iso of 9.10 Beta and attempted
a test install on my main machine and ran into issues (and also just
for a sanity check on my front end machine this morning with the same
results.) MD5 checksums are ok as well as a diff of the burnt cd and
  the .iso file.

Short memtest ok, verify media looks like it running ok, but after
the activity bar reaches the end and the cd drive activity finishes
nothing else happens. After waiting 15-20 minutes I hit escape and it
reboots. Went ahead and tried install to hard disk - cd activity for
a while and a few messages to the display, cd activity stops, then
after a while display memory looks like it is over written with
  garbage.

Main system- (Backend, Frontend, and development system running VMware and at times VirtualBox): Currently running FC8 and .21-Fixes
  AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+
  ECS NFORCE6m-A (AM2) Motherboard 6GB memory
Nvidia GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS running dual head
  USB CD drive
  2 HVR-1600 cards
1 SIIG PCI-e Sata disk card
1 SIIG PCI IDE disk card

Frontend: Currently running FC8 and .21-Fixes
  AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
Not sure of the brand but it's also an AM2 type Motherboard 2GB memory
Nvidia GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS Svideo out
  IDE CD drive

FYI: A few days ago I downloaded and installed the X86 version on an old P4 system ok. Just thought of trying it on the AMD systems, but won't be able to until late tonight.
