Message #05873
[Bug 879183] [NEW] mythbackend causes kernel panic and reboots
Public bug reported:
I am getting a "Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal Machine check" from
both mythtv-backend, mythcommflag, and I think mythtv-frontend.
My pc was running fine on 11.04, and I started getting these immediately
after the upgrade to 11.10. I thought there was an outside chance it
was being caused by bad power or overheating cpus, so I did a stress
test but that did not cause a kernel panic. So I decided to reinstall
ubuntu, this time I used 11.10 32-bit.
** Affects: mythtv (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
