I run a 0.25 fixes master backend also and every time mythtv is updated,
I have to re-enable external access to MYSQL in Mythbuntu Control
Centre.  Is this related to this bug?

  As reported here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1759435

  "Enabling remote SQL access in the MySQL section of Myth Control
  Centre was the ticket. I don't know why it was not being enabled by
  default for a Primary Backend-only install"

  Makes sense to be enabled by default on Primary backend only systems.
