[Bug 1199164] [NEW] Mythfrontend crashes with no error when playing Live TV, Recording or Video
Public bug reported:
When any attempt is made to play Live TV, a Recording, or a video,
mythfrontend crashes back to the desktop. apport does not catch the
crash. If I run mythtv from the command line, and attempt to play any
recording, I am able to catch the attached error on the command line. A
copy of this command line output follows:
The program 'mythfrontend.real' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 140 error_code 8 request_code 149 minor_code 13)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
This installation worked correctly until a recent block of updates was installed.
The output of mythfrontend --version is attached.
** Affects: mythbuntu
