Thanks for your response. I will do a restore test soon to verify.

Well, restore and revert mean exactly the same thing here, which
confused me.
I think most people want to restore a file or directory as it
was at a certain date, and by default that is "the most recent
available".
So I think a single "Restore" button with a file dialog is all you need,
which would show the latest base + snapshots contents.
Underneath an "Advanced" (or "Old Versions"?) button, I would hide that
calendar: if they select a different day they get the file/directory as
of that time.
If they want a particular version of a file, select the date, find the
file and hit "Restore".
