[Bug 775942] [NEW] corrupt gzip file

Public bug reported:

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10, sbackup 0.11.3, standard package install
(sbackup log file attached).

Due to the bug #709338, I tried to restore files via the command line by
unzipping the file first, but the file seem to be corrupt

sudo gunzip -v
/mnt/BackupDisk/LeosStuff/2011-05-01_02.00.06.516020.LeosLinux.ful/files.tar.gz
> files.tar produces the following error:

/mnt/BackupDisk/LeosStuff/2011-05-01_02.00.06.516020.LeosLinux.ful/files.tar.gz:
gzip: /mnt/BackupDisk/LeosStuff/2011-05-01_02.00.06.516020.LeosLinux.ful/files.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--crc error

Given that there are no error in the log, the file has not been copied
or touched by anything other than sbackup I'm now somewhat concerned
that non of the backup are of any use

gzip: /mnt/BackupDisk/LeosStuff/2011-05-01_02.00.06.516020.LeosLinux.ful/files.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--length error

** Affects: sbackup
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
