Public bug reported:

When the latest version (0.11.4) of Sbackup is installed from the PPA
there are no menu items added to the gnome panel.

I propose a workaround as follows:

edit the following line in both the "sbackup-config-su.desktop" and
"sbackup-restore-su.desktop" in /usr/share/applications ;

Categories=GTK;GNOME;System;

to

Categories=GTK;GNOME;System;Settings;

The shortcuts now magically appear.
