[Bug 1395497] [NEW] GUI freeze for large file sets, propagates to gnome-panel
Public bug reported:
If run from a gnome-panel desktop, the already annoying GUI freezes for
large sets of files (eg. 'Select All' for hundred thousands of files)
propagate back to the gnome-panel, making for example window switching
impossible for a few seconds.
I think we have a big problem if an application's operation renders the
global panel unresponsive. Especially if dependent on the size of data
sets. A some million file directory would stall the system responsivity
for a long time, rendering the whole system unresponsive.
Is this unisons's fault, or gnome-panel's?
** Affects: unison (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
