Title:
  version 2.40 does not work with current 2.48 release

Status in unison package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  The unison client can only communicate with other same release clients.
  The current stable version is 2.48. The Ubuntu repositories still contain 2.40. This version can not be used to connect to current stable installations.
