Message #00140
localization and help bug tags
Hi,
Chris G asked me to send an email on tags I find useful and would like
QA folks to use.
"loc", "loc-canonical", "loc-opensource"
* Tag all bugs that may be localization or internationalization with
"loc" (this includes everything related to languages, translations,
locales, keyboard layouts, etc.)
* Someone later tags these with loc-canonical or loc-opensource
* loc-canonical means we expect to address it
* loc-opensource means the issues comes from upstream and we probably
won't address it. For example, an open source app we didn't modify has
UI or help that is partly translated
"help"
* This tag tracks help bugs we expect to address, typically
non-upstream, like Dennis help and Belmont help
* As noted above, upstream translation help bugs are usually marked loc
* loc-upstream and are generally not fixed by us
Cheers,
Kyle
