@Damian: I'm not aware of any official statement issued specifying
that development on the ooc compilers has stopped. While I spend less
time on oc and more on alternative research projects, we are still
maintaining rock, applying patches, and fixing the most important bugs.
We're not letting you down there. 

As for OpenAL bindings, I did that a
few months ago: https://github.com/nddrylliog/openal-ooc [9] It was
enough for my needs, but feel free to fork it and add what you need :)
It's pretty straight-forward.
