Argh. What policy? Where? You keep using the word
"policy" as if it were some real, concrete thing, which
was written down somewhere, which everyone understood.
Except that its not written down anywhere, we just have
some vaguely inconclusive email threads.

I am following "the polciy" as I though we last left it
some weeks ago, but I don't think anyone else is.

In particular, over the last month, *no one* has checked
in any code into the the trunk branch.

We are also talking a lot about some "staging"
branch, but as of this instant in time, I see only *TWO*
branches, in total, that have been published in
launchpad.

https://launchpad.net/opencog/trunk
which has two branches:

the "main branch", at
https://code.launchpad.net/~opencog-dev/opencog/main

and Joel's branch, at
https://code.launchpad.net/~opencog-dev/opencog/main/+merges

https://launchpad.net/opencog/framework
(which appears to be empty)

https://launchpad.net/opencog/freecore
(which appears to be empty)

https://launchpad.net/opencog/opencogprime
(which appears to point at the same code as trunk)

This is a major change from where we are at a month
or two ago, when there were 20-25 staging branches.

Clearly, a lot of cleanup has occurred in the interim.
Great. And now ... what happens next?
