Hey, I call em as I see em.
You want Linas to use staging.
You admit that staging will accept checkins that break stuff.
So you're saying that Linas should just put up with his stuff being
broken daily.. what do you want him to do? Complain to whoever
checked in the code that broke it and then just wait? No. Clearly
you want him to fix the problems introduced by others instead of
focusing on his work.
Why is it so hard to ensure the unit tests are working before you
check in? At least then you would encourage Linas to add unit tests
that adequately capture what he needs to not break to get work done.
As I've said before, this is what I call "working together" and if
you're not willing to work together then you're never going to get
this HUGE project done.
