That is also true for us.. we have our own stable addons branch
https://code.launchpad.net/~openbias/openobject-addons/6.1_produccion
<https://code.launchpad.net/%7Eopenbias/openobject-addons/6.1_produccion>
And are thinking to make the same for the 6.1 openobject-server...
We have reported several bugs via OPW and only some of them are
already merge to the "stable" trunk, and some of them that were
resolved since MAY, haven't being merge...
The idea of growing as a community is that everyone benefits from the
contributions of the others, and if OpenERP is more occupied
developing the newer version, radder than fixing the "stable"
version, nobody is going to benefit from the bug fixing of the
community, and we will be working on isolated issues that each and
everyone of us is going to have to solve by their own way. So, a great
part of the idea of growing as a community is being put on jeopardy.
If the bug fixes are merged on to the version 7, what about the
version 6 and 6.1 ???? The bugs of version 6 have to be merge to
version 6, and yes also to 7...
We also are interested on joining the initiative to maintain a
community-driven stable branch.

Jose Pato
