Hi Markus,
This module is not compatible with multiple instance. It could be 
improved in this way but will need several enhancement (similar to a 
connexion to Magento):
- a client module in destination database (create some objects and 
funnel authentication)
- Binding at product level (for mapping products in one database to 
another one)
- Binding at partner level
- Corresponding binding in SO/PO/SP should probably be adjusted.

There is quite some work to be done actually but this is quite standard 
compared with currently connector technology.

We have not done it yet because no customer related project but it 
should be quite standard framework objects.
