Hi all!

As many of you know I have created a branch 
chricar_price_unit 
apart from a lot of layout enhancements which partly are already integrated in 
5.0 and trunk 
* Make fields long enough to fully display the content
* rearrange similar forms (SO/PO) to have a similar layout
* making many lists editable, add important data fields to lists

the following major extensions are made 
* price_unit (not unit_price)
** this allows to quote in cents/unit or €/1000 units or similar
*** see Products/Configuration/Units of Measure/Price Units

* allow manual entry of document date and automatic determination of the 
period for users with a certain role 
* self locking in of the user (accountant) in a certain period (user 
preferences)

* stock_accounting
** a new value field in stock_move which assures that stock moves and 
account_move_lines use exactly the same amount hence stock evaluation and 
accounting give the same value for each period
** stock evaluation is using this field instead of avg_price*qty which is good 
only for current evaluation, but not for (stock) accounting purpose as the 
value of a quantity of a certain date changes always as it is evaluated with 
the current price.
** synchronized transfer of stock moves into accounting if accounts are 
defined (which didn't work correctly in 5.0)

* CRM 
** enhanced lead and due date 

The decision for not creating a module was, that due to the complexity of the 
changes other dependent modules are likely to break. 
On the other hand it's likely that many of these other modules should be 
installed and the enhancement could be made dependent of these modules.
Creating a module would be much more work then integrating and I probably will 
need help.

Please let's discuss if theses enhancement should become standard

Then I will create smaller patches against trunk that can easily be reviewed 
and merged.
