many thanks for your reply, and I agree that there is still a lot to be done

As an example, I cannot understand the following

in a company with reference currecny=EUR
Make a Purchase is USD and use a Purchase Journal in USD : the entries 
in debit/credit are in EUR
This is not OK according to me
