Re: anglo-saxon stock accounting in v6

Please read the bug comments, that was the base for creating this module.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-addons/+bug/388145

Into the comments the setup is clearly described as also the usage of this module. As far as I know, the only missing future is handling of stock corrections. These are also booked consequently to the so called "in between" account. But can manually be corrected with a manual correction booking afterwards. For this issue one could create a defect so that the anglo-saxon algoritme is not used in case of a stock correction.

Hi Vadim,

Please share some tips or steps taken in order to correctly configure the module. This would really help the greater community once documented and maybe we can have some sensible default parameters in 6.1 that will make the configurations painless.

    Hi Frederik,

I have managed to completely handle the UK requirement with no
development involved. Just a matter of configuration. Multicompany
setup needs slight coding to take care of the correct currency
    valuation and costing per company.

    Thanks,

    Vadim

    accounting in v6

    Ok, thank for the feedback.

    I conclude that :

    - anglo-saxon module is obsolet and serve no purpose today.

    - you cannot completely handle ' UK descriptive' accounting
because you miss the price variance on purchase (in my view), it
is only a workaround (so you will by problems somewhare else at
some point), it does not work in multicompany environnement and
the average costing is wrongly computed...

    - as far as I know, nothing will change in 6.1

well...again Ferdinand must be right, module has to be re-coded !
impossible to use the standard one.

Shame for such a generic need.

    Solution
I rewrote the real time stock accouting in v5 !!
and partly migrated it to v6 in c2c_rd_addons
