Default taxes on expense or income accounts are not honoured
Hi,
can I hear the accounting experts' opinions on the following matter:
The account form in OpenERP invites the financial manager to add default
taxes to (expense or income) accounts. A product template or category
can have such an account as a default income or expense account. When
such a product is invoiced directly, the taxes from the configured
accounts are applied to the invoice (when no taxes are entered
specifically on the product). Other parts of the system, such as
purchase or sale orders do not support this and need the taxes to be
configured directly on each and every product.
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-addons/+bug/796570
In the Netherlands, one out of three tax rates applies based on the type
of product. Having the taxes deriving from the product category is
therefore a very natural configuration. I would like to gather your
support for the implementation of this behaviour throughout the system.
Regards,
Stefan.
