[Bug 911769] Re: [PS][trunk] Marketing campaign - Mandatory to save the campaign to create new activities
Hi,
This is unfortunately a limit of the OpenERP framework at the moment, and we can't implement a clean solution for this.
Either you should create all the activities first, then save, then link them with transitions, or you should design the campaign using the diagram view, which may offer a more user-friendly interface.
If we extend the OpenERP framework to better support creating sibling
records and linking them in the future, we might be able to improve
this, so let's keep this bug open as Wishlist.
Thanks,

Title:
[PS][trunk] Marketing campaign - Mandatory to save the campaign to
create new activities
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
Confirmed
Bug description:
On OpenERP 6.1, in the web client when I create a new marketing
campaign and try to add a new activity, I have to first save the
campaign.
--> The campaign should be saved when trying to create a new activity
(as in Sales Order when we want to add new sales order lines)
If I save the campaign, I can add a first activity BUT... when I want
to define a second one that has for incoming activity the first one,
it is impossible.
I have to save my second activity, save my campaign. Then I should go
back to editing mode for my campaign, go to edit my activity to define
the incoming activity.
--> It should be possible to do this without having to save everything
one time and reedit the elements.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new marketing campaign
- Add a new activity without saving the campaign
--> Problem!
- Save the campaign
- Add once again the activity
--> It works
- Add a second activity
- Define the first activity as incoming activity of the second activity
--> Problem!
