Yes, but then the description doesn't appear in the delivery order, purchase order, etc... Only the product name "Generic" will appear in the purchase order, for example.Thank you, but this is not a solution :-)
Am I missing something, or there is no way of configuring standard VAT for every Quotation, Invoice...???

  Sales Order - doesn't compute tax when product not included (just

Bug description:
  Web client with Demo data.
   6.1 RC1 - openerp-allinone-setup-6.1dev-20120216-110030
   Opera 11.61 and Firefox 10.01.

   1. Set Fiscal position on partner Agrolait as Normal taxes.
   2. Create Sale order and add some order lines with only Description, price and quantity - without creating a product.
   3. Click Compute.

  The result is that no taxes are included in the sale order. They are
  included only when a product is created and added.
