[Bug 943249] Re: Wrong scheduled date for stock move created by manufacturing order
Hello Ravish!
>>In real scenario ,schedule date of MO means when we have started our
product MO.
Well I disagree, when you create a MO and set the schedule date, it's the date when you plan to actually produce. So when you "confirm production" that's still this date.
Now, when you start to produce, it could change to the actual date you start the product MO. But it's not doing it anyway. So all wrong.
In addition, the stock move generated for the future finished product when you confirm production says:
Schedule date : 1/03/11
Date : 15/03/11
Why is the scheduled date = today? The sheduled date according to the
doc (and basic logic) should be when the production will be DONE. That's
only then that you want the finished product to enter your real stock.
The help tooltip in the web client even says for stock move scheduled
date: "Scheduled date: scheduled date for the processing of this move".
This move is going to be processed when you produce isn't it? Not today.
I still really wonder if logic is wrong or if the wording "date/schedule
date" is just confusing.
Because now, can you tell me at which date is a product added to virtual
stock? The stock level forecast is using Date or Scheduled Date?
Thanks for reading, that's a long comment I know ;)

Title:
Wrong scheduled date for stock move created by manufacturing order
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
Opinion
Bug description:
The scheduled date displayed for stock move generated by a
Manufacturing order is wrong.
- Create a new manufacturing order, the default scheduled date is today: change it to another day.
- Confirm production. ( attached screenshot bugMOdate.jpg)
- Check the details of the stock move generated by the MO. It displays in the columns (attached screenshot bugMOdate2.jpg):
* Date = What you previously entered as scheduled date for your MO.
* Scheduled date = Today ????
It should be:
*Scheduled date=What you previously entered as scheduled date for your MO ("Scheduled date for the processing of this move").
*Date="scheduled date until move is done, then date of actual move processing"
I wish it was only a problem of displayed values, because if these are
the dates really used for stock planning, everything would go wrong?
