As you said in  #comment 1: "doesn't seem to work in 6.1". Would you please provide more information on this.

  6.1 inherit wizard.multi.charts.accounts for setting Account
  code_digits?

Bug description:
  Hello,

  several l10n modules inherit the wizard.multi.charts.accounts for setting the default value of the code_digits during the Chart of Account configuration. 
  It worked in 6.0 but it doesn't seem to work in 6.1, instead of 0 digits the original 6 digits show up in the wizard.
