[Bug 923769] Re: search filters should not search by user friendly name (label)
It seems a general problem.
Unfortunately do not know revision of server (but stable 6.0.3), but
with stable client (downloded from openerp.com) filter usage failed.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a new db.
1. Install additional language. I tested latvian and russian.
2. Use linux GTK client (tested net-rpc)
Open:Sales/Configuration/Pricelists/Pricelist Versions
Try to search with Filter.
- Active contains True: works as expected
- Active contains False: works as expected
- Active contains bkddkdkkd: works as expected (shows Invalid Value)
2. Change admin user interface to other language.
Login /Logout
Open:Sales/Configuration/Pricelists/Pricelist Versions
Try to search with Filter.
Filter doesn't work even pressing reload button:
- Active contains True: nothing happens
- Active contains False: nothing happens
- Active contains bkddkdkkd: nothing happens
Can you check, please.
So I reopen the bug.

Title:
search filters should not search by user friendly name (label)
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
New
Bug description:
OpenERP GTK client stable.
If in object model there are more than one field with the same visible
name (label), then filter functionality works only on the first field
only.
Example: Different labels are translated equally in other language.
Load GTK client in other language and try to add search filter on
particular object. If there are two identical labels in drop down
list, then only first is working.
Search filters should search by actual field name not label, but
display user friendly label.
