Hello, I stand below Kyle: we had the same issue here in Brazil and we
hardcoded in our localization extension modules to switch back to R$, but
just as Kyle said, this is simply confusing lots of the noobs you spend
money and efforts trying to attract on the other side.

  New database should required currency selection

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In 6.1 when you create a new database it chooses EUR by default. This
  is bad practice. In the United States we do not use Euros and any
  other country would also have the same problem. If I choose an
  american chart of accounts it still uses Eur as the default currency.
  There is no option to select this.
